Executive Director Strategic Management Master at HEC Paris Business School

Describe your current role and what attracted you to it.

I manage the recruiting and operations of the number one strategic management programme worldwide. I was drawn to the role because I needed a new challenge at the time.

What’s your favourite part of the role?

What I like best about this job is that it allows me to meet so many talented students, discuss with top notch faculty, partner with the best consulting firms around, and I get to do this with a great and committed international team.

What are the key skills you learnt at Warwick that have helped you with your career to date?

I would definitely say effective teamwork, leadership, and strategic analysis.

Did you have a specific career path in mind when you chose to study at Warwick?

No, I had a feeling I needed a master's diploma to achieve higher positions (not sure it's really the case, but it brought me the necessary confidence, so definitely worth it!).

What top tips do you have for Warwick graduates who would like to work in your sector?

Education is a sector in high demand of international educated profiles. It is booming in ed-tech specifically, so if both education and technology are of interest to you, go out there and seek out the many opportunities on offer!

What does a typical day look like for you?

Days never look the same!

I could spend all day interviewing potential candidates to recruit next year's cohort, doing a company visit with a case cracking practice with students, or coach them for their business project, a consulting mission they do in groups for a company.

But most days, I do many different things: I answer students' questions (by email or on campus), verify attendance, update teaching materials on the learning platform, discuss with other programmes to ensure information sharing and process harmonisation, discuss with student reps to guarantee optimal student experience, discuss with my team to see how the programme can be improved/changed to suit companies' needs and students' expectations.
