Connections: Colin Stump
What’s your standout memory of Warwick?
Making lifelong friendships (with regular meetups) after half a century.
How would you sum up Warwick in the time that you were there and your generation of students?
As campus-based undergraduates, we were curiously insulated from the travails of the outside world, immersed in an academic and social bubble whilst events took place elsewhere.
What was the student culture like at Warwick, and were there any annual traditions, societies, sports clubs, or events that you remember?
Warwick mountaineering society and my first time using crampons on a trip to the Cairngorms with them. Becoming sporty after many years of slovenly living, taking up jogging and squash. But, most notably, great evenings in the union bars!
Finish the sentence: Warwick influenced who I am today, because…
It made me self-sufficient, academically confident, and ready to engage in the business world.
