Connections: Hugh Hayes
How would you sum up Warwick in the time that you were there and your generation of students?
The policy of giving leading academics the power to create new and innovative courses meant that most students really enjoyed their studies and their time at Warwick. With only 1,500 students, it was a friendly and enjoyable place to be.
Finish the sentence: Warwick influenced who I am today, because…
I did a lot of theatre productions and saw many interesting theatre companies like Brighton Combination, Portable Theatre Co, and Lindsay Kemp. I then applied to drama schools and got into the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and I have been an actor all my life.
I have recently published my debut novel, The Whitchurch Papers, a dystopian, near-future look at a declining England.
