Connections: Manish Manoj
Manish recently represented England at the 2026 Men’s Netball Nations Series, marking another major milestone in his netball journey. Building on England’s bronze medal finish in 2024, the team showed clear progression by improving their final standing and securing a silver medal this time around.
Manish’s own development has mirrored that upward trajectory. Having steadily progressed through the pathway from the under-25s to the senior men’s squad, he said it was both a privilege and an honour to be selected for another international tour with the England Men’s Netball Team.
The tour itself was extremely demanding, with an intense daily schedule that extended far beyond match play. Each day involved detailed video and performance analysis sessions, alongside physical activations, pool-based recovery, and ice baths, to ensure the squad could perform at the highest level. Manish featured in the Centre (C) and Wing Defence (WD) positions and particularly enjoyed the closely contested matches, including hard-fought group stage and semi-final victories against New Zealand of 49-46 and 50-45, respectively.
Manish credits much of his passion for netball to his time at the University of Warwick, where he was able to play netball up to six times a week. That exposure not only accelerated his development but also deepened his love for the sport. He is delighted to see the university’s women’s and mixed netball teams continuing to flourish and contributing to a strong and inclusive sports culture on campus.
