Connections: Ellie Payne and Jonty Heiser

My husband and I met at Warwick in 2013 during my first year of Biological Sciences and his last year of Physics. We met at the Aikido Club and became good friends and started dating during my third year (end of 2015). Without the Aikido Club, we otherwise likely wouldn't have met, due to only a year overlap and different subjects. We have now been together for nine years and were married October 2023. Another Warwick alumni and ex-Aikido Club President, Will Simpson (Physics), was the best man, and several other Warwick alumni were present.
