I was initially attracted to MORSE as it gave me the opportunity to study a range of subjects under one degree. I acquired a strong understanding of Economics and Operational Research in the first two years, however I chose to specialise in Mathematics and Statistics in my third year.

I thoroughly enjoyed the range of applications that MORSE allows. In particular, I found medical applications and actuarial modelling very interesting, and they acted as a welcome alternative to the more theoretical content of the course.

Overall, I would recommend the MORSE degree to anyone who has both an interest in theoretical mathematics but is also curious to learn about its real world applications.
