I have many fond memories which I cherish from my time as a MathStat student. The Mathematical Sciences Building is modern and well-equipped, and I enjoyed my lectures there. The course has smart and self-driven peers to work with and world-class academics to learn from. The Statistics Department staff are friendly and they offer a wealth of support.

The BSc Mathematics and Statistics course is highly flexible and offers both theoretical knowledge and technical applications. It not only gave me exposure to core maths and statistics theories, but also the freedom to choose from a wide range of modules, such as within the actuarial and financial domain. By staying motivated, focused, and hard-working throughout the programme, I acquired a quantitative mindset and skill that laid the foundation for my postgraduate studies in Risk Management at LSE.

This programme is perfect for any student who derives pleasure from solving quantitative problems and is seeking to expand their knowledge of theoretical mathematics and statistical methods, and to sharpen their programming skills.
