Sam Longbottom-Smith: Graduate training programme at Lloyd’s

Sam Longbottom-Smith
BSc MORSE 2016
Graduate training programme at Lloyd’s, London
I chose MORSE over a maths degree due to the flexibility it offers me. I loved maths before University, but once I started this course, I soon realised the amount of proofs and theoretical thinking was too intense for me, and so I chose a more financial economical & business route (a subject I didn’t think of studying at University).
I chose MORSE because the options available for me in 2nd year span the Maths, Business, Statistics and Economics departments, and gave me chances to explore interesting and challenging modules. The work is hard and takes time to adjust to University level standards, so along with vibrant social scene at Warwick, you will definitely be busy! I strongly recommend applying as it is highly-valued by employers, sets you in good stead for working life as I’ve gained computer, analytical and organisational skills. eriously consider MORSE as it opens so many more doors!
