Yes, I already knew that I wanted to go into the automotive Industry.

What top tips do you have for Warwick graduates who would like to work in your sector? *

Stay up to date. Nobody in the industry knows what is going to happen to the industry in the next few decades so stay open to learning.

What does a typical day look like for you?

Learn about the problems from different engineering teams and scout for technologies to solve those problems.

What has been your greatest career challenge to date and how did your experience and skills help overcome it?

Every month is a new challenge and keeping up to date with learnings assists me in this regard. “How to” research is really helpful.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given in relation to your career?

Your interest, your role, your manager, and your fire to learn matter more than your salary.

What should current students or recent alumni be doing to move their careers forward?

Pick a topic of interest – go into the depths of details. Try to be the best person on the planet about that topic.

What do you know now that you wish you had known when you were applying for jobs?

Companies don’t look for the most talented or experienced people. Companies look for people who can solve their problems. Be that person and make sure your profile reflects that.
