Quickfire Questions: Eniola Akanbi

What is your current role?

I’m the Founder of TeachHerSales, a career accelerator focused on helping women break into tech sales. To date, I’ve helped place over 100 women into roles at high-growth companies, with many increasing their salaries by £30k to £40k+ and accelerating their career progression. Alumni have gone on to companies including Salesforce, HubSpot, Oracle and Shopify.

TeachHerSales began as a highly personalised 1:1 programme, and after proving the model, I’m now scaling it through the TeachHerSales app to support far more women entering the industry.

Alongside this, I’ve built my career in tech sales as an Account Executive, operating in high-performance, target-driven environments.

I’m currently developing the platform to bring training, interview preparation, mentorship, and AI-powered guidance into one place, as I continue to grow as an early-stage tech founder.

What motivates you to do what you do?

What motivates me is seeing how quickly someone’s trajectory can change when they’re given the right access, guidance, and belief.

Tech sales is one of the few careers where progression is merit-based and the financial upside is significant, but it’s still largely inaccessible to people who don’t know how to position themselves or don’t have the right exposure. I’ve seen how capable so many women are, but without the right support, they’re often overlooked.

Building TeachHerSales has allowed me to directly change that. I’ve seen women go from uncertainty to securing roles, increasing their income, and building a level of confidence they didn’t have before.

That combination of real, measurable impact and the ability to scale it is what drives me. I’m motivated not just by helping individuals, but by building something that creates long-term access to high-earning careers at scale.

How has your time at Warwick influenced what you do now?

My time at Warwick shaped how I think about people, opportunity, and ownership. Studying Sociology gave me a strong foundation in understanding behaviour, decision-making, and the structural factors that influence someone’s path. That perspective has been invaluable in tech sales, where understanding people, asking the right questions, and communicating clearly are central to success.

Alongside my studies, I had the opportunity to intern at companies like JP Morgan and HSBC, and I began my career in investment banking before moving into investment management and ultimately tech sales. Being exposed to those environments early on built my confidence and showed me what was possible, while also highlighting how much access and exposure can shape career outcomes.

Why did you choose Warwick?

Warwick pushed me to think independently. That mindset has carried through into my career and gave me the confidence to build TeachHerSales. It also reinforced the importance of access, which is a big part of what I focus on now, making sure more women have the clarity, support, and exposure needed to break into high-earning careers.

Favourite memory?

Some of my best memories come from late evenings with friends, whether we were preparing for applications, working through assignments, or having honest conversations about our goals and what we wanted our lives to look like. There was something special about those moments after long days, whether working through group projects or just spending time together.
