Quickfire Questions: Molly Deanne Stronge

 What is your current role?

I am in my second year as an Early Career Teacher (ECT).

What motivates you to do what you do?

Inspiring little learners to become the very best versions of themselves is my greatest joy. The classroom holds a special kind of magic, and it’s there that the real wonders happen.

How has your time at Warwick influenced what you do now?

My experience at Warwick has truly shaped the teacher I am today. Even in my day-to-day practice, I continue to draw on the knowledge and skills I gained there. The brilliant, hands-on lectures and seminars have stayed with me, and above all, I’m grateful for the inspiring lecturers and the wonderful colleagues who learned alongside me.

I carry the Warwick teacher values with me in everything I do, striving to demonstrate intellectual curiosity, justice, and creativity, whether I’m facing everyday challenges or the bigger moments that shape my teaching.

Why did you choose Warwick?

I chose Warwick because from the moment I first visited, I felt an immediate sense of belonging. The welcoming atmosphere, dedicated staff, and supportive community made it clear that this was a place where I could truly grow. The campus itself is vibrant and inspiring, offering an environment that encourages both academic and personal development. Above all, Warwick’s strong reputation for excellence, and the values it upholds, made it the ideal choice for shaping my journey into teaching.

Favourite memory?

It’s hard to choose just one favourite memory because my time at Warwick was filled with so many meaningful moments. I loved the hands-on learning experiences, like creating costumes out of recycled materials, or going on an autumn leaf walk to bring our lessons to life. And, of course, graduation was incredibly special. Standing there, celebrating everything we had worked for, is a moment I’ll always remember.

Best thing about the Warwick community?

The best thing about the Warwick community is its incredible support network. There’s always someone there – not just to help, but to inspire you. That support continues, even after graduation.

Favourite place on campus?

Westwood coffee shop.
