Phoebe Singer: year abroad at Monash
Phoebe’s favourite memories at Warwick include her year abroad at Monash University and her time with Warwick Devils.
Why did you choose Warwick?
I felt at home from my first visit. I also loved the diverse offerings of the History degree and the opportunity to do a year abroad, which I did at Monash University in Melbourne.
What are you doing now?
I am a Freelance Marketing Manager.
What motivates you to do what you do?
I enjoy the creativity and the challenge of finding new ways to reach audiences.
How has your time at Warwick influenced what you do now?
I write every day - it’s a skill I honed at Warwick and still enjoy practising. I take complex products and make them easy for wider audiences to understand, which is something I learnt in my History degree.
Favourite memory?
My year in Monash was a highlight, but I will always recall standing in a circle with my Warwick Devils at the end of Pop, singing Angels.
Best thing about the Warwick community?
Warwick is a very small world, and it has continued to help me. A lot of my work and social life has continued to be with these people.
Favourite place on campus?
The Piazza.
