Quickfire Questions: Prerita Chauthauwale

What is your current role?

I'm the Founder and Chief Creative Officer of PurpleBlue House, a Brand Communication Studio that partners with breakthrough innovators to turn bold ideas into bold storytelling. Whether it's brand strategy, narrative design, or visual identity, we help innovation led brands find clarity, resonance, and creative courage.

Founded on a SciArt philosophy, where science meets art to illuminate ideas, PurpleBlue House translates complex innovation into visual, narrative, and cultural forms that people can meaningfully connect with.

Through this approach, the studio has worked with organisations across biotechnology, healthcare, venture capital, conservation, and consumer brands. A distinctive example of PurpleBlue House’s approach can be seen in its work with Firefox Bicycles, where the team developed imaginative product universes for the children’s range. Through storytelling, illustration, characters, and product design, the brand experience extends beyond the bicycle into playful worlds that young riders can connect with.

Alongside innovation led projects, PurpleBlue House has worked with influential platforms, organisations and consumer brands such as Observer Research Foundation, India Global Forum, Kanti Sweets, and BellaVita.

I have over 13 years of experience across government, media tech, and creative industries. I began at the Chief Minister’s Office, Gujarat, joined the founding team of MyGov, and later led creative and communications at NEWJ. I'm a recipient of a national award, a U.S. Department of State Legislative Fellowship, and have completed executive education from IIM Ahmedabad.

Through PurpleBlue House, I work with innovators to ensure their breakthroughs are communicated not just clearly, but memorably.

What motivates you to do what you do?

Creativity, Content, and Community

How has your time at Warwick influenced what you do now?

I pursued the MA in Global Media & Communication and graduated in 2012. The programme helped me understand branding, marketing, advertising, and public relations not as isolated disciplines but as interconnected forces that shape how ideas travel and influence people.

This perspective has stayed with me throughout my career. Being able to recognise both the subtle differences and the overlapping synergies between these fields allows me to approach brand communication with greater clarity, helping founders and organisations craft messages that are both strategically sound and creatively compelling.

Why did you choose Warwick?

For the global and multi-cultural exposure and inter-disciplinary approach.
