Do you have any fond memories?
Yes, I made life-long friends at Warwick. I remember the hard work but also a great social life, falling tiles, political activism and the mud - it was great being a pioneer! The hem on my long skirts was always caked in mud!
Where did you live?
Rootes Hall 'L', Tocil, my graduate year was spent in a very damp house in Coventry
What are you doing now?
I came to the US to visit and stayed. However, I plan to return to England when/if I retire. I work as an academic dean and really enjoy my work
Why did you decide to become an alumni ambassador?
Warwick is a great place to get an education and have fun and I am very proud of the fact that I went there
What kind of people make up the Warwick alumni community in your area? Are they expatriates or locals?
Both ex-pats and local. They work in a variety of professions: education, financial services, accounting, management, homemaking.
What kind of events do you run? Do you get a good turnout?
I've attended a few events. The best attended ones were organised by Warwick itself and we had a visiting professor as speaker.
Have you ever been back to Warwick?
I have been back a few times for reunions. Wow! What more can you say? Would Warwick offer me a place if I was applying today?!
Anything else you'd like to add? Thank you Warwick. You gave me the space to become who I am today.
