TPS Careers events with Warwick alumni
This term, we’ve had multiple events to help our students prepare for a career beyond Warwick.
In January, we held a panel on producing and directing, which included alumni Zoë Templeman-Young (BA Theatre and Performance Studies, 2013) and CJ Lloyd Webley (BA Theatre and Performance Studies, 2015), alongside Albany Theatre artistic director Kevin Shaw. The panel had a great time sharing their experiences working across the theatre industry, and our students learned so much.
In February, we held an acting careers panel and were delighted to welcome back three Warwick graduates: Em Lawrence (BA Theatre and Performance Studies, 2022), Temica Thompson (BA Sociology, 2014), and Jayant Singh (BA International Management, 2019). Our second and third years had a great time hearing the panel’s tips, ideas, and inspirations – all of which was extremely useful for those students currently thinking about applications to drama school.
We were also really lucky to have Em Lawrence host an acting masterclass straight after the panel. After graduating, Em enrolled in Bristol Old Vic Theatre School’s MA in Screen Acting, and was kind enough to share some of the techniques she picked up during that time.
Many thanks to Zoë, CJ, Em, Temica and Jayant for helping our students as they start to explore the opportunities open to them as Warwick graduates!
