Suvi entered the financial sector after graduating from Warwick spending a decade in various roles before entering the start-up space. She joined five ventures before founding her own business. Her company, Koa Collective, aims to connect, inspire and support people who leave their job in search for meaning in their lives or more purposeful work.

Suvi is a passionate advocate for diversity and skills that matter in the workplace and is an adviser at Like Minded Females - an online and offline community that empowers, connects and celebrates those who identify as females globally.

What advice would you give to female students and alumnae?

Start today, not tomorrow, if you want to achieve something - don’t wait for permission and remember you don’t have to know everything in advance: you’ll learn along the way. Find allies, think big, believe in yourself.

Is there a woman you look to for inspiration?

Everyone has their battles and not all scars are visible - celebrate the women around you who each contribute in their unique way. From the inspiring life of Ada Lovelace, Virginia Wolf’s prose, my former manager’s sense of right and wrong, and my sister’s joie de vivre.

What did you love about studying at Warwick?

The chance encounters with people from different backgrounds - learning about German food one moment and Ethiopian cuisine the next.
