Three years full-time study leading to the degree of BA (Honours) or BA (Pass) in Classics and English QQ37. Students follow a Greek or Latin pathway, depending on which ancient language they have studied at A-level. Students who have done both Greek and Latin at A-Level or equivalent may choose between the two pathways.

Year One

120 CATS: 60 CATS from Classics; 60 CATS from English. Students are required to pass ALL modules in order to proceed to Honours.

• 90 CATS of optional modules in any combination of English and Classics, with at least 30 CATS from each department (which form your required optional core modules): students may choose at least 30 CATS of Classics honours module/s from the list here, and at least 30 CATS from the English module/s from in the list given below, which replicates the full selection of modules available to English honours finalists on the English pathway. Note that 15 CATS English modules are equivalent to half a regular 30 CATS module. Students would need to pair two 15 CATS modules to make one 30 CATS unit.
