Students are advised to buy R. Williams' complete edition and commentary of the Aeneid available from Duckworth. Phillip Hardie has also produced an excellent edition of Aeneid 9 with Cambridge University Press,

2. Maffeo Vegio, Aeneid XIII

A brand new edition by Michael Putnam has just appeared, called Short Epics by Maffeo Vegio, and this includes his thirteenth book of the Aeneid, published by Harvard University Press, as part of their I Tatti Renaissance Library.

3. Homer, Iliad (in its entirely in English)

4. Either: Phillis Wheatley Niobe in Distress and Derek Walcott Omeros and Odyssey
