Rethinking Politics in C16th England
Location: Warwick University
Established scholars join graduate students to bring together themes in the study of the long 16th century under a broad remit of rethinking politics in England. The 16th century England of this conference is a European society, a Renaissance society and is approached from a broad interdisciplinary perspective. Rethinking historical problems in political life and political culture, the conference will examine the roles of the court and government, literature and display, parliament and the parishes, material culture, diplomacy and more.
