REF2021 Outcome

The Warwick History Department is delighted with our strong showing in REF2021.

92% of our research has been rated as 4* (world-leading) or 3* (internationally excellent). This confirms our reputation as an outstanding place to research and study history.

The Warwick History Department submitted 55 people for REF2021 and a total of 120 publications including over 30 monographs.

We are particularly delighted with the strong performance of our Impact Case Studies.

At the Warwick History Department, we believe that understanding the past helps promote an open, just and democratic future. All good historians share a commitment to high-quality historical research that deepens and expands our knowledge of the past, because we know that this is essential to building a self-critical, inclusive and forward looking society.
