Long Essay Workshop

Centring on the writing of long essays, this workshop will provide students with the opportunity to discuss problems of research, sources, and writing. Students will each be expected to talk about their central question, their approach to answering it, sources, and the relation to existing work. Students not writing a long essay will benefit from extending their understanding of the subject and they will also develop the skill of chairing discussion and leading on questions. Students writing the long essay will also benefit in developing their skill in tackling original research questions.
