Lecture: "Can impairment-based therapy apps improve outcomes in patients with acquired disorders of vision or language?"

Prof Alexander Leff is funded on an NIHR research professorship and is a professor of cognitive neurology at the Institute of Neurology and an Honorary Consultant Neurologist at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

His research has two main components:

  • Brain imaging studies of aphasia and alexia.
  • Web-based therapies for patients with visual impairment or language impairment.

He is involved in running four clinical services:

  • Cognitive rehabilitation clinic
  • Hemianopia clinic.
  • Aphasia clinic
  • General neurology clinic
