Biography

Martin Connock joined Warwick Evidence within the Warwick Medical School in April 2011 as a Systematic Reviewer (Senior Research Fellow). He graduated in Zoology with first class degree from the University of Wales in 1964 and gained an MSc in Radiobiology from the University of Birmingham in 1965, and PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham in 1968. After 3 years work as a post-doctoral researcher he taught Biochemistry at the University of Wolverhampton until 2000. He then completed an MSc in Health Technology Assessment at the University of Birmingham in 2003 and continued work in Birmingham's department of Public Health and Epidemiology until 2011 gaining experience in undertaking systematic reviews in Health Technology Assessments (HTAs) for the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) HTA programme. His current responsibility is to undertake technology appraisal reviews (TARs) commissioned by NICE.
