Biography

I completed my undergraduate degree in English Studies and Philosophy in Stirling, during which time I undertook a year of study abroad at the University of Victoria, Canada. It was at Stirling that I became interested in studying ethics and the moral evaluation of agents and actions. After this, I completed a Masters degree in Ethics and Political Theory at Reading, developing my interest in questions of reproductive and population ethics. I then commenced my PhD in medical ethics in Birmingham. I successfully defended my thesis, arguing for a prioritisation system for the allocation of donated gametes (sperm and eggs) in November 2013, and graduated in July 2014. After a stint of shorter-term research and teaching jobs, I joined Warwick in 2017.
