Additional Information

Preparation

You should look at this website for general information. You should also look at the moodle pages provided for the cohort you will be joining here http://moodle.warwick.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=10255 . The current student pages are password protected. You will be sent a code to access these. If you have not received a code by the end of June, please email colin.macdougall@warwick.ac.uk

Occupational Health

Shortly after you arrive, you will be required to attend the Occupational Health department at University Hospital, Coventry. A session will be indicated on your induction timetable for this.

In preparation, please read documents below. They deal with important information you need to provide including evidence of previous vaccinations. You should start to arrange vaccinations and/or find certificates as soon as possible. If you are unsure as to what to provide, please contact the Occupational Health Department via Occupationalhealth@uhcw.nhs.uk

Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks

To be placed in a National Health Service (NHS) hospital, all students need to complete a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check. You can now apply for this prior to arriving in the UK. The admissions team at Warwick will be in touch directly, but they can also be contacted by email at disclosures@warwick.ac.uk

In addition to the UK DBS check students will also need to obtain a criminal records check from any country overseas that they have lived in within the last five years (for a period of six months or more). The students should then bring this original document with them when they move to the UK and provide it to the disclosure service at the admissions office (disclosures@warwick.ac.uk) so that a photocopy can be made for University records. If you need any advice on how to obtain such a document from a country please contact the office, disclosures@warwick.ac.uk .

Banking

Previous IMU students have not found banking to be a problem as the local banks have been efficient and welcoming to international students. Usually it is possible to set up a bank account within 24 hours
