Checklist
The start of term is fast approaching. Here are some useful tips on what to bring if you’re moving to university. Click below to make sure you’re fully prepared.
Budgeting
Managing your money is a crucial life skill that many people develop during their university years. Click below to start planning your budget for your upcoming studies.
Health Centre
If you’re moving onto campus or living away from home, consider registering with the campus Health Centre. Register before you need an appointment, as no one plans to become unwell.
Cooking
All on-campus accommodation is self-catered. While there are many eateries, it's cheaper to master some basic cooking and meal prep skills ahead of arriving on campus.
Shopping
You can find everything on campus, but Cannon Park shopping centre is just a few minutes away. It has a Tesco, Aldi, hairdressers, Boots, a Post Office, and more.
Getting around
We're well connected with a bus interchange on campus and Canley train station nearby. You can travel locally or nationally from both, with bus and train services across the UK.
Chemistry glossary
Welcome to the Chemistry Glossary, a comprehensive collection of frequently used terms you might encounter when you start studying with us. Our glossary includes a wide range of academic acronyms, learning and technology terminology, staff and student roles, as well as terms relevant to your specific experience. Don't worry if you haven't heard of these before; it's completely normal when starting something new. If you come across something missing or think others would find useful, let us know by emailing: chem.experience@warwick.ac.ukLink opens in a new window
IT and downloads
You'll receive an ITS account during enrolment, but you might want to install the apps below before starting with us.
