What: This workshop gives an overview of the UK Parliament and how Parliament uses research, and covers ways to work with the institution including details on Select Committees, legislative scrutiny, the House of Commons and House of Lords libraries, and POST. It also includes discussion of how to communicate research in a policy context. The session will be interactive and practical. You will leave with an understanding of how research is used in the UK Parliament, and able to identify opportunities to feed your research into Parliament’s work. This training is delivered by UK Parliament’s Knowledge Exchange unit.
