Annual Festive Research Showcase Brings Chemistry to Life

On 26th November, the Science Concourse was buzzing with activity as we held our 3rd annual winter Research Showcase for the Department of Chemistry.

We want to inspire the next generation of scientific researchers. This popular event gives students a unique opportunity to speak directly with researchers, explore fascinating research areas, and discover the cutting-edge research happening within our Chemistry department.

The flipped poster presentation style, against festive backdrop, saw academic researchers chatting to students on their latest scientific research across all our priority themes of Sustainability, Energy and the Environment; Heath; and, AI and Data Modelling.

Undergraduate enthused by our research and wanting to get involved, were invited to explore next steps from URSS, which enables undergraduate students to carry out an interdisciplinary summer research or public engagement project, through to master's or PhD study.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this showcase such a success. We hope it shaped our students' Chemistry journey.
