Joji completed his undergraduate degree in Chemical Biology (MChem) in 2013 at University of Warwick, his final year project involved polymer-protein conjugation supervised by Dave Haddleton. He then joined MOAC-DTC and completed MSc in Mathematical Biology and Biophysical Chemistry in 2014. His final MSc project involved the synthesis of glycopolymers and binding assay with lectins involved in immunological functions. The MSc project was supervised by Daniel Mitchell (WMS) and Dave Haddleton. Continuing the investigation carried out in the MSc for his PhD, he is now also part of Perrier group and Warwick-Monash alliance, and has two additional supervisors in his team: Paul Wilson and Sébastien Perrier.
