ABSPIE Lab to attend the World Laureates Forum, Shanghai, China 2021

Our PhD student and Research Assistant Davide Piaggio has been invited to present his work as an early career researcher to the World Laureates Forum .

The World Laureates Forum (Shangai, China) will take place from 29th October - 1st November 2021, with the aim to “Promote Basic Science, Advocate for International Cooperation and an Open Exchange of Ideas, and Support the Development of Youth”. It is a great platform for both senior and early career researchers, to showcase their research projects and receive valuable feedback from Nobel prize winners and internationally renowned scientists.

The Forum has been successfully held for three consecutive years. Last year, 137 world laureates (including 61 Nobels) and over 200 early career researchers joined the forum.

Davide will follow in Prof. Leandro Pecchia's footsteps, who was invited as a speaker last year, presenting the work of the ABSPIE Lab on Artificial intelligence in health. A second consecutive invitation for the Lab and our School is a great honour. A fantastic recognition of the contribution the University of Warwick is making to the field of biomedical and medical devices globally.
