4th International Clinical Engineering and Health Technology Management Congress (ICEHTMC) 24-26th October 2021

The 24-26th October 2021 sees return of the “4th International Clinical Engineering and Health Technology Management Congress (ICEHTMC)”, which was meant to take place in Orlando Florida, but has now been moved online. This year several staff and students from the ABSPIE Lab submitted abstracts and were shortlisted for presentation.

1) Davide Piaggio and Leandro Pecchia to feature in a short course on how to write Clinical engineering papers, presenting a 3D-printed inlet filter for oxygen concentrators based on activated charcoal.

2) Leandro Pecchia to present his work with Davide Piaggio about a 3D-printed condom-based intrauterine balloon tamponade.

3) Martina Andellini presenting a work titled “Clinical needs, technical requirements for COVID ventilators: evidence-based comparison for adult and pediatrics”

4) Busola Oronti to present her work on the “Optimized Discrimination of Short-term Heart Rate Variability Measures for Categorization of CHF Severity”

5) Katy Stokes presenting her work concerning the “Auto detection of pneumonia: a feasibility study for machine learning with mobile phone apps and wearable sensors”
