Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
Athena Swan
The Athena Swan Charter is a framework used across higher education and research to support and improve the careers of women in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine.
The Mathematics Institute has recently been awarded an Athena Swan Bronze Award, in recognition of their work in this area. We are now focused on a new Action PlanLink opens in a new window that builds towards a future application for Silver.
Dignity at Warwick
The University has a policy which 'outlines unacceptable behaviours' which can be found on the Dignity at WarwickLink opens in a new window page.
Warwick's Dignity PrinciplesLink opens in a new window 'set out our expectations of how we behave as a community, both as individuals and as an institution, and inform our approach to taking appropriate action when these expectations are not met.'
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Committee
This committee is responsible for ensuring that all students and staff, from across all sectors of society, are welcomed at Warwick and supported during their time at the Mathematics Institute.
The committee's members all meet once a term, with sub-groups meeting more regularly. If you would like to make suggestions for action, please contact:
