Who am I and my role at WMS

Hi my name is Katie Robertson, I’m a portfolio coordinator for the Warwick Medical School, and Prior to this I worked for Coventry University.

As a portfolio coordinator my Job purpose is to organise, co-ordinate, administer and provide excellent customer service to the PGT and CPD programmes offered by Warwick Medical School. I provide excellent customer service as the first point of contact for all applicants, students and academic staff. I provide advice on admission procedures and requirements for access to PGT and CPD programmes for both Home/EU and Overseas applicants. I advise students on: course structure, Accreditation of Prior Learning process, upgrades, withdrawal, deferral, and University regulations and policies. I also support students on procedures for submitting coursework, resubmissions and applying for extensions. I Co-ordinate all relevant documentation, resources and enquiries for programmes within their portfolio, to include booking venues, accommodation, travel and organising hospitality. I liaise with the Assistant Operations Manager and exam board secretary to ensure preparation of paper work related to exams boards are prepared on time. The courses and modules I oversee and support with include Diabetes and Orthodontics.

What attracted me to WMS

As previously working for Coventry University in their Health Life Sciences Registry department, I have always had an interest and passion for working in the health education sector. When applying for the role at Warwick University, I researched the campus and realised there are lots of amazing opportunities for staff and students, which include development courses and staff training. This is what attracted me to Warwick University the most.

My experience at WMS so far

I have only been in my role for seven weeks and I have met some inspiring people already from academics, guest speakers and also not to forget the amazing team I work in, everyone has made me feel so welcome. So far my experience has been excellent and I cannot wait to see what the future holds at Warwick University.
