Medical Education Research Community Event
MERC: Networking & Evaluation methods workshop
Tuesday 14 February 12-13.30 A0.30, MSB
Please join us for Valentine's themed treats and networking, followed by a second opportunity to attend our workshop on evaluation methods.
In July 2022, we ran a session that introduced Impact Evaluation as a framework to support us in evidencing the effectiveness of our pedagogical approaches. The session encouraged us to consider what we mean by terms like ‘impact’ and ‘effectiveness’. In this follow-on workshop, we will continue to examine the purposes of our evaluations and take a closer look at evaluation methods that will allow us to collect relevant and meaningful evidence. A particular objective of the session is to think beyond traditional data collection approaches, like surveys, and explore the use of more student-centred methods.
