Many congratulations to the Dean of Warwick Medical School, Professor Sudhesh Kumar, who received an OBE from the Queen in London on 10 October in recognition of his services to medicine and diabetes care.

Professor Kumar is a clinical endocrinologist by background with 22 years’ experience as a Consultant Physician in the NHS whose academic career has seen him publish 240 papers and six books on a range of research areas including adipocyte biology, whole body metabolism.

Commenting on being awarded an OBE, Professor Kumar said:

"I feel lucky and privileged to work in organisations where it is a joy to help many amazing colleagues do amazing work every day."
