CAMDU awarded LEAF Bronze

In recognition of exemplary actions undertaken to improve the sustainability of their laboratories and processes as part of the Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework (LEAF) demonstrated during an audit process performed to ISO19011 standards.

CAMDU joins UK-BIAS

UK-BIAS is a distributed service bringing together the UK's leading experts in bioimage analysis. As a virtual national facility, it's unique: a dedicated node for image analysis support that perfectly complements existing nodes offering cutting-edge imaging technologies. By linking multiple sites, we pool expertise and build real capacity. UK-BIAS helps researchers extract full value from their image data through reproducible, best-practice analyses, collaboratively building workflows and pipelines that work. And by championing the FAIR principles of data and software management, we're making those pipelines reusable across the community, minimising duplication of effort.

CAMDU to host a BioImagingUK and PoLNET Summer Studentship Awardee

We are pleased to announce that CAMDU will host a summer student that is supported by the BioImagingUK and PoLNET Summer Studentship Award. The project 'User friendly Deconvolution Tools for Microscopy' was conceived by Laura Cooper and will be co-supervised by David Corcoran. It was selected as one of eight nationwide projects to receive funding. 122 students applied in total to the scheme, and the successful applicant will receive financial support for six weeks to conduct the project (including costs for relocation and consumables).

We are very proud to be part of this nationwide initiative and are looking forward hosting this summer project.

CAMDU secures Monash Warwick Alliance Grant

CAMDU have been awarded a grant from the Monash Warwick Alliance Professional Services Collaboration Fund. The grant will support the development of "User friendly and multi-platform tools for processing and analysing Lattice LightSheet microscopy data for biological applications". The project will take advantage of the three different Lattice LightSheets Microscopes managed by CAMDU and Monash Micro Imaging. Documentation and analysis tools will be produced to reduce the burden on new users who want to get started with this specialist technology. The aim is to improve the utilisation of Lattice LightSheets, not only at Warwick and Monash, but for the wider research community.
