There are many fantastic resources and different types of educational content for light microscopy available on the internet. Below are some excellent places for both beginners and more experienced microscopists:

• Videos on fundamental principles from Havard and many fundamental and specific topics from iBiology.
• Microtutor an interactive educational website on fluorescence microscopy made by microscopists from Harvard and many other contributors elsewhere. MyScope a simpler website on various microscopy techniques.
• An online "book" providing recommendations and resources for biologists using fluorescence microscopy in research.
• Website on microscopy by Evident and another website by Nikon - two large microscope manufacturers.
• Microscope "calculator", for resolution and sampling, and similar website with more options from Nikon.
