Biography
I am a Public Health specialist and a Fellow of the UK Faculty of Public Health. My substantive role is Consultant in Public Health at London Borough of Croydon. I have an Honorary Associate Professorship at Warwick Medical School where I'm also co-module lead for International Health Policy on the MPH programme. I hold an Honorary Global Health contract with UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) within the Global Operations (Global Public Health) team.
I completed my advanced public health specialist training (CCT) in 2023 in the UK West Midlands deanery working between the National Health Service, Academia, Local government, Health protection team, Department for Health and Social Care and UKHSA.
I have a keen interest in public health workforce development (globally and nationally) and I'm currently supporting efforts by WHO and partner organisations in the development and implementation of a global public health workforce strategy. I'm also an Assessor for the UK Public Health Register.
I have a background in Quality Improvement and Large Scale Change programme with over a decade of experience of working in NHS (local acute hospitals, regional NHS organisations and Academic Health Science Network).
I have a Master’s in Public Health (University of Birmingham), Healthcare Leadership (Manchester Business School and University of Birmingham) and Bioinformatics (Birkbeck College, University of London).
