The pilot programme was launced in September 2013 with 144 volunteers over 70 years of age taking both theory and practical workshops to refresh their driving skills. The evaluation of the project was done by Carol Hawley and the report and full programme was launched on 25 February in Sherbourne, Dorset by Valerie Singleton.
