Prof Franco Cappuccio, Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine and Epidemiology in MHWB and Consultant Physician at the UHCW NHS Trust has been eleced as Vice-President of the BHS for 2015-16. Prof Cappuccio has been a member of the BHS since 1986 and was elected as Inaugural Fellow for the BHS in 2014. For the past 30 years he has contributed to the field of hypertension and cariovascular disease both clinically and academically. He has published more than 400 papers and is advisor to NICE and the WHO and is a trustee of the Student Heart Health charity.

Dr Michelle Miller was awarded Fellowship of the British Hypertension Society (FBHS) at the Annual meeting of the Society held in Stratford-upon-avon in September 2015. Fellowships are awarded to senior clinicians and scientists in recognition of their significant contributon and leadership as Hypertension "Specialists".
