The ISOBAR team at SCARF are led by Dr Thara Rangaswamy, a psychiatrist by training and a co-founder of SCARF. Dr Rangaswamy is passionate about disability issues, lobbying to include mental disability in the Persons with Disabilities Act in 1995. She was largely instrumental in the development of ‘IDEAS’, a measuring tool to assess mental disability and is instrumental in linking with WHO and other international organizations.

The team in Chennai also consists of Dr Vijaya Raghavan and Dr Shiva Prakash.
