Stallard is Professor of Medical Statistics and leads the Statistics and Epidemiology group at Warwick Medical School. He is an expert on innovative statistical methodology for clinical trials, and has over 50 peer-reviewed publications in this area.

He has particular expertise in adaptive clinical trial design and decision-theoretic methods for small and early phase clinical trials. Stallard leads on the InSPiRe project, he is leading on WP2 and part of the team on the other workpackages.
