Norbert Benda has been head of the Biostatistics and Special Pharmacokinetics Unit since 2010. He is member of the Biostatistics Working Party of the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) at EMA and alternate member of the CHMP’s Scientific Advise Working Party. Before joining the BfArM he was a senior Expert Statistical Methodologist at Novartis Pharma AG, Basel. He has 12 years of experience as a statistician in the pharmaceutical industry and 7 years as a university lecturer in Statistics. He graduated in mathematics from Aachen University and obtained a PhD from the Free University of Berlin.
