The final HELPS event will bring together around 30 participants, including academic and legal experts, service managers, clinicians, and people with lived experience. The event will present and discuss findings from HELPS—the first study to comprehensively investigate the organisational, professional practice and lived-experience dimensions of mental capacity assessments in acute healthcare settings.
Through presentations and facilitated discussion, participants will consider what the findings mean for clinical practice, service organisation, professional training and future research, and help shape the study’s final recommendations.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed for participants and XX public contributors with lived experience will be paid a fee of £XXX for their participation.
