Research Interests

I am a medical sociologist who uses social research methods in experience-based and health evaluation research. I have worked on projects relating to dystonia, headaches, opioid-treated chronic pain, and digital technologies. I am particularly interested in applying experiences of illness to the development and delivery of public health interventions. I joined the Unit of Academic Primary Care as a Research Fellow on the Care Companion project in July 2019. My role is to explore the relevance and acceptability of an online digital resource for unpaid carers, as well as its impact on mood and wellbeing.

Biography

I graduated from the University of Sussex in 2010 with a BA (Hons) in Sociology. Afterwards, I went on to complete an ESRC-recognised MSc in Cross-Cultural and Comparative Research Methods (Sociology) from the same institution. I completed my PhD in Health and Social Sciences at the University of Warwick in 2018.
