Caroline's research interests lie in intersection of health sciences and psychology. Her main area of interest is the psychology of women's health, including reproductive health, body image, and sexuality. She has expertise in qualitative research methods. Caroline has worked on many funded research projects. Recently these have included a review of resuscitation guidelines for paramedics, and the use of ReSPECT plans (an emergency care and treatment plan) in both acute and primary care settings.
Caroline has worked as an Assistant Professor at Warwick Medical School (WMS) since July 2022 and is a member of the Social Science and Systems in Health Unit in the Division of Health Sciences. Caroline has worked in WMS, first as Research Fellow then as Senior Research Fellow, since completing her mixed-method PhD in health/social psychology 2010. Alongside her research, Caroline teaches on a variety of courses in WMS, including sessions on qualitative methods and body image. Outside of Warwick, Caroline is a psychology lecturer for the Open University.
