Dr Shilpa Patel is a Research Fellow in the Clinical Trials Unit. She is also a Chartered Health Psychologist and combines her academic work with clinical practice in the field of pain management. Shilpa completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Leicester before going on to complete a MSc in Health Psychology at Coventry University. Following her interest in Health Psychology, Shilpa went on to complete a Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology at Staffordshire University. Shilpa has worked in academic research since 2004 and prior to joining Warwick she worked as a researcher at the University of Leicester in the field of chronic pain. She joined Warwick in February 2008 to continue her research interest in musculoskeletal pain.
