MSc Diabetes (Paediatrics) Course Structure Selector

On this page you can review the course structure for the MSc in Diabetes (Paediatrics) and register your modules for your chosen course of study.

This course is designed for healthcare professionals across a whole spectrum of disciplines and experience involved in the care of children, adolescents and young people with diabetes.

The flexible, modular structure allows you to study over a period suited to your own professional needs and circumstances, enabling healthcare professionals to balance the requirements of their career with further study at university if they so wish.

The whole MSc will total 180 CATS, made up of 60 CATS for the Certicate stage, 120 CATS for the Diploma and 180 CATS for the full MSc. All of the required modules in each year must be taken before a student is allowed to progress to the subsequent year of study.

The MSc diabetes (paediatrics) is also able to be taken in a single year. The required module rubric remains unchanged, but the single year of study results in the rewarding of an MSc after the first (and only) year of study. Please review the module structure for the MSc, and when you have done so, select the modules that you wish to take using the link below.

 

Course Structure (Part-Time)

All students are required to take the compulsory induction module (NT901-5) .All students will be automatically registered for this module at the start of the acedemic year. The module content will be availalbe via the online learning platform (Moodle).

Year 3 (180 CATS MSc): Take the compulsory core module (the professional project) PLUS 1 additional optional module from a choice of 6 (cannot repeat the same module if taken at diploma stage).

Course Structure (Full-Time)

Before beginning the MSc course, all students are required to take the compulsory not-for-credit module; the INSITE induction and study skills programme.
