I’ve found the Research Methods in Clinical Education module of the course particularly useful. I've spent much of my career with a head full of ideas but could never get them down on paper! So it's been great to have that support there, advising how to do research effectively. It’s really helped me learn the skills to critically analyse ideas and evidence to determine which projects are worth progressing.
I've had really good supervisors and there are fantastic people within the wider department as well.
These days medical students are doing a lot more at an earlier stage in their career than before, like research projects and presentations. Now I’ve done this course it's great to be able to talk to them and advise more confidently when it comes to research.
