Aims to:

• introduce the concept of the Orthodontic/ restorative interface 
• introduce the concept of Orthodontic implants for anchorage 
• introduce the concept of the Orthodontic/ periodontal interface 
• provide an opportunity for group interactive learning in a structured manner and treatment planning 

Objectives

Following Day 9 dental surgeons should be able to:

• Appreciate the complexities involved in multi-disciplinary cases and be able to diagnose which cases require a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment 
• recognise the clinical indications for anchorage support 
• recognize the implications of Orthodontic treatment on the periodontium and also the reverse
